Microsoft making a collection series for Gears of War before Gears of War comes out on the Xbox One

Never got my promo code for gears of War collection.

Bought the gears of War edition xbox one s. Came with gears of War 4 ultimate edition. Never did recieve my codes for gears of War collection.

 

Most likely. I'd love to see a Gears of War collection on the Xbox One, but they need to start making new IPs instead of just remastering things.

 

I'm sure it happen eventually. Which saddens me. I'm tired of collections. I've already played these games. I'd rather the developer sink those resources in to something new. A new IP would be even better.

 

I don't think it wouldn't be so bad if it didn't happen so soon in this gen. But then again, what's the point of an HD collection that was already HD?

 

I'd actually like even though I'm not a big Gears fan. The first game just had a huge impact on me so if it had updated graphics than great because it already has awesome gameplay and it's fun.

 

Oh dear God, can we stop with this crap already?! Stop with the re-releasing of games. Make new games.

 

I think they (MS as a publisher) could farm out the re-release re-mastered 1-3 Marcus Fenix Collection with all the multiplayer maps, similar to the 1-4 Master Chief Collection and simultaneously have the main developer (Black Tusk) work on Gears4 the way
343 is doing with Halo5. Then stick the Gears4 multiplayer beta on the Collection just like the Halo5 beta. No reason they can't make everyone happy and spread the work among various good developers.

It's a pretty good analogy and kind of a no-brainer. People like Gears, they know the main character. He has a personality. It's money in the bank...

 

If they can make Gears of War 1 MP work smoothly and with no lag, I'm in! The first one was the best in the series.

 

Being a big Gears fan i'm all for it.

But perhaps a little on down the road, and i'm sure it will happen. Most likely closer to the release of the next new Gears game.

Wouldnt be surprised if it's something we see next E3.

 

I'd buy, love Gears of War, especially the campaign in GoW2 and the lag free multiplayer in GoW3.

 

Like someone said "I would rather them spend the time and money on a new IP" but I would probably still buy it.

 

While we're on the subject, there are Halo fans, and there are Gears fans, I for one wont be buying the Master Chief Collection, only got into Halo at Halo 3, and all the rest after that have been bad. But bring on The Gears of War Collection!

 

I loved GoW but I played those games far too much to ever think about buying a collection. It's a great idea for some 13 year old that is a relative gaming noob tho.
