Gears of war collection codes are not working

Just got Gears of war 4 disc today with the 4 codes to download the collection(GOW 1,2,3 Judgment)

when tried to redeem any of the codes for the 4 games i got the following error message:

"Something went wrong, sorry about that, give it a try in a while"

Contacted the support and they advised to post here for the problem to be solved

code 1 and 3 not working

I got the 4 codes for the Gears of War collection that came free from purchasing Xbox One S 1TB Gears of War 4. But Gears of War 1 and Gears of War 3 codes are not working.

and what if i can not find my actual region in the account region's options?!

my actual region is egypt.....and i can not find it in the account region options

also what i know that this offer will not work for japan and china, what you say make this offer not working for many regions that are not available in the account region options

 

When you setup your account you were asked for a region

If you have uk as your region that would be why

Your account region must reflect your actual region

Unfortunately there is no way to get the content as you don't live in an xbox live region

You are only garentee content if you live in an xbox live region

Technically it's also part of the requirements s of the promotion

yes but all the other xbox live services works fine for me!!

i even redeemed other codes like the alan wake code that came with quantum break game and it worked fine!

 

Not all games are region locked. So some games will work while others won't.

Translation - I have the same problem and I think that it is mistake of microsoft and does nothingto fix the problem believe it is misleading advertising

 

UPDATE: tried to redeem the codes from a different account on the xbox and here are the results

-Codes for Gears of war 2 and judgment Works fine

-Codes for Gears of war 1 and 3 still dont work with the same error

checked the forums and found many have the same problem(GOW 2 and judgment works fine and GOW1, 3 do not), so i think it is a problem from microsoft side

 

I am having the same issue. I live in Israel and we are supported by live. Gears 2 and Judgement work but 1 and 3 don't. I've been trying for the past hour but it always gives me the same message. Sucks I haven't played the previous games and was looking
forward to play the first one.

As ngocphi and Smwutches stated. Egypt is not an officially supported Xbox Live region, this is why some codes will not work. We don't recommend changing regions from the one you are physically located in as this can cause compatibility issues.

There isn't going to be a way to get all of these codes to work if you're not physically in a supported region unfortunately. To get those codes to work, you'll need to connect to Xbox Live from your console in a supported region.
