    Gears of War 5 error 0x80004005


    I bought the Xbox game pass to play this game at first, it wouldn't let me download the game at all, always got an error. I could however download any other game, just not Gears of War 5. Got tired of that and ended up buying the ultimate edition on Steam.

    Every time I launch the game, I'm online for about 10 seconds, then it drops to offline. Anytime I try get into an online mode or even do anything like change skins, it tells me "Unable to connect to Gears of War services, 0x80004005".

    Does anyone know how I can rectify this? I've spent $100 on a product that's turned out to be near useless and I've been waiting eleven days for a reply from The Coalition support. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Sgt_Hans,

    I'm sorry to hear that. The error message actually indicates a network problem.

    The problem at the moment, however, is that there are also server problems with Gears. So it's not quite clear at the Moment, if you can change anything about it at all.

    It could also be that your firewall hinders communication or something is not uptodate!! (So check if there are any updates also via the Store APP. You can also try

    "A CLEAN BOOT"    )
