Gears of war 4 Xbox one S limited edition system

The campaign is rock solid, I love it. However, matchmaking is having issues. It's taking up to 5 minutes to load a map in some cases, they're aware and working on it apparently. Once you get into a match it's good, but those load times will drive players
away (including me) if not adressed.

^^ yeah mp definitely has issues it even kicked me from servers trying solo Horde! Also why did they think it's a good idea to make you back out at the end of every ranked game- surely that's just overloading servers even more when everybody's constantly
having to matchmake again?

Overall though it's a really good fun shooter.

 

^ I agree, backing out after each match has been driving me crazy, it was pretty good earlier, it was going from searching to synching in something like 80 seconds. The last few games were back to 4 minutes. It needs sorted.

 

The developers have been tweeting today that they doing their best to get everything sorted for tomorrow when even more will be picking it up.

 

^ They need to, it's not great when you're waiting for 3 minutes only to get booted and have to restart the process. Like I wrote, there were definite signs of improvement today, but also the same issues happening over.

Edit = Whilst I aporeciate their efforts, I don't get why this is even happening, we tested the beta to death for them, provided feedback they asked for, and it seems it was in vain.

 

Tomorrow is going to be a complete cluster when everyone else gets their hands on it. It's started having massive lag spikes the past hour or so and as said it's taking ages to find a game.

Makes you wonder. Mind you how many betas have there been and games still have issues?

Let's just hope we don't get the common ...."We didn't realise the demand".... That one always baffles me.

I've been matching to horde just fine (get a match with 5 seconds), but I have noticed some major lag issues which hardly happened on Gears 2 & 3. Good to see that people still drop out at wave 20 and 40 (not), haha.

The changes to horde are interesting, they put in classes, but then they allow everyone to be the same class which kind of defeat the purpose a little, haha. It just seems like a way to keep us on the grind. Though I do admit having 20% extra lancer damage
as the solider is pretty sweet and that's only level 1 of that skill.

 

The credit system is terrible. Gonna take like 50 games to buy 1 elite gear pack.. I'm just playing horde mode for now. I have the lancer at 40% damage now but it's gonna take 10 of those cards to hit level 5 ugh..

 

Had a few games on Horde with Mr Nally earlier, great fun but it reminded me just how terrible I am at the game lol

MP I won't go near, I'd do more damage throwing stones at someone :-/

Campaign on my own, in co-op and blasts on Horde shall keep me going for ages on this.

Question folks, I was lucky my wife won the Ultimate Ecition so I have season pass etc Any info on what future content is? I'm gathering mostly MP stuff, maps etc but hoping for some extra SP story, co-op etc? Thanks.

 

Just started Act II last night. So far, good story and gorgeous.

 

I see people tweeting that there was a 200 or so MB update tonight.

I'm guessing it's to fix minor bugs people have been reporting?

 

@Lofty - Pretty sure it's mainly maps, 2 maps a month for a year which will be used in horde as well, doubt we'll be seeing anymore story based DLC.

I am getting helplessly addicted to horde mode again, what sucks is when someone leaves at the end of a major wave (10, 20, 30, 40) and the game gets stuck on the 'weighting for other players' screen. It estimates the time for 1 - 50 on casual for 45 minutes,
but I can't even get to 25 in that time! Haha. Anyway, I really want to unlock some of those character skins! I WAY preferred it when we just grinded objectives to unlock skins rather than the RNG system, but I already expressed my concerns about that before
this game released *sigh*
