Gears of War 4 (XBO)

Hello,

Can I please request support on Xbox One, my GoW4 Store is bugged (since Fri 17th March), I have multiple packs (and additional from a re-up Tuesday 21st March) BUT I CANNOT open any of them...

This started last Fri evening 17th March and I was hoping that it was a wider known issue/update impending, but alas no. I have done multiple game and console restarts, but it appears to be GoW4 game store server side, as I am able to play versus, horde and
MP fine and get rewarded credits, just not open, purchase packs in store OR create any cards.

I also CANNOT purchase any packs, I now have ~58,000+ credits and am unable to spend them....

I have tried creating cards and this is the ONLY place that is displaying an error message, which is:

"ERROR

An error has occured. Please try again later.

The Gears of War services are currently unavailable, please try again later.

For more information, visit gearsofwar.com/community and search for '0x801901f7'"

When I try to open packs, I get to the Open pack with "A" button, then I get the following message:

"Unable to open pack. Please try again."

Repeatably for my current unopened packs.

I am not able to get/buy any more packs as I get the following message:

"WE'RE HAVING TROUBLE PROCESSING STORE REQUESTS AT THIS TIME, PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER"

PLEASE can this be investigated and resolved, my gamertag is:

I am based in Europe.

Please advise what I can try to do to fix this....

I personally believe the issue is on the Store server side in its authentication/handshake it makes.

I am becoming increasingly frustrated with this issue as it has effectively STOPPED my skin, cards, characters, XP and additional enjoyment in the game. I have posted on the Coalition Support forum, but by all accounts they are just a small group of enthusiasts
and are overloaded with the issues they have (I.E. I have had NO feeback to my post in over 2 weeks ago and worryingly there are ppl with the SAME/similar issue to me posts dating back to October last year!)

October games with gold

I think Gears of War Remastered or one of the original Gears of war gams on X360 (or maybe both) will be free to promote Gears of War 4. I also think there will be a $60 complete edition bundle for Rise of the Tomb Raider to counter the 30th Anniversary on PS4. Finally, I expect a relatively new indie to round up the XBO list.

Hi Johntax,

There are different solutions that you can perform to help resolve your concern with fully accessing in-game contents in Gears of War 4 online on your Xbox One console. Refer to the following:

Solution 1: Clear Persistent Storage

Scroll left on the Home screen to open the Guide.

Select Settings.

Select All Settings.

Select Disc & Blu-Ray.

In the Blu-Ray section, select Persistent Storage.

Select Clear persistent storage.

Restart your Xbox One console. Access the game again and check if the same instance occurs.

Solution 2: Clear MAC Address

Scroll left on the Home screen to open the Guide.

Select Settings.

Select All Settings.

Select Network.

Select Network settings.

Select Advanced settings.

Select Alternate MAC address.

Select Clear.

Select Restart. Access the game again and check if the same instance occurs.

Solution 3: Remove and re-add your Microsoft account on Xbox One

Refer to this
link and perform the steps provided. Make sure to restart your Xbox One console before re-adding your Microsoft account. Then, access the game again and check if the same instance occurs.

Solution 4: Reset your Xbox One to factory defaults

Scroll left on the Home screen to open the Guide.

Select Settings.

Select All Settings.

Select System.

Select Console info & updates.

Select Reset console.

On the Reset your console? screen, select Reset and keep my games & apps. You should use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting
your games or apps. This will save you from downloading or reinstalling the large game files. After its completion, access the game again and check if the same instance occurs.

Many thanks for your quick response and support ValuableNomad90, I tried solutions 1 and 2 last night and 3 and 4 this morning and am STILL having the same issue.

Please can you advise further?

As mentioned I believe this is some issue on the Gears of War 4 Store side - I CANNOT buy packs with credit, BUT I CAN buy packs with real money (I tested buying a £0.79 pack), BUT I still CANNOT open ANY packs (ones attained with re-ups OR purchased for
real money)

One other thing that 'maybe' of note is that I seem to have "Daily Reward packs" which I never seen (prior to me getting the issue when it first occurred on Fri 17th March), does the store somehow think I have DLC content (which I dont) and that is what
is causing it to bug out?!?

I am guessing with the solutions that I have followed you have eliminated the OS on the console and any gamertag data corruption, I still feel it is something external that is causing this issue (maybe my local game data? OR Coalition/Xbox GoW4 Store data
side that is prohibiting me from opening packs, procuring packs with credits, creating cards or destroying cards.

I resolved this ValuableNomad90 - I read a post by: XXadventureXX81 on the same issue I was having

I scrapped a character card then my store also unbugged!!

You can close this ticket/post and hopefully advise further ppl with this issue

Hi, I did receive my 4 redeem codes, however the codes for the original gears of war and gears of war 3 did not work, and do not work until today, I always get the code Xbos-0X80150017.

The codes for gears of war 2 and judgement did work though.
