Gears of war 4 with xbox game pass (beta) subscription on PC not working

Hi,

I have subscribed to xbox game pass PC when it launched few days ago. So far I have played Forza Horizon 4 and Wolfenstein 2 with no problems, but for some reason I cannot play Gears of War 4. I can go into the game menu, but as soon as I want to start a
the campaign the game gives me an error: "Failed to create game; A connection to xbox live could not be established". There is definitely internet access since I am getting all the updates like the gears of war 5 news when I access the game menu as well as
all the new bounties and information in the game store.

I have tried to relog on the xbox app (beta) as well as log into the xbox companion app, which does not solve the problem.

Is there any way to fix this issue? I cannot re-download this game since it is already a 133 gigs download, which is basically half my monthly data package that we have.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

You have to purchase the digital game for it to be play any where. It does not work with game pass as you are only renting the game.

That is not true as I can play Forza Horizon 4, Gears of War 4, ReCore and Halo Wars 2 on PC with the Xbox Game Pass. Halo Wars Definitive Edition is the only Play Anywhere title which does not seems to work under Game Pass.

Obsessive Power

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely.
Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

If that doesn't work try uninstalling/reinstalling the game.

This is a PC game issue, not an Xbox One issue.

I have just started to download this game again today on my PC as part of the PC Game Pass Beta. I will let you know if I experience similar issues.
