Gears of War 4 Update Stuck at 14.6%

So, a few days ago i turned the console on and i found out that i had to download an update for the console...i did just that and then started to play my games. A little bit later, i found out that Gears 4 had an update of 1.14 GB, so i let the console
download it, alongside some other games i was downloading as well. I used the Instant-On option and, like always, all games (DMC 5 demo and Gears of War 1) downloaded with no issues at all, but the Gears 4 update got stuck at 171.17 MB and it doesn't move
forward...I tried a hard-reset, clear cache, clear MAC address...and nothing happened. What should i do?

A few things to notice:

- I can't play the game, not even the Campaign, for some reason. When i enter the Main Menu screen a 56% appears alongside every game option (Story, Versus and etc.) and when i select any of these options, the game tells me that it's installing data (WTF?
Is this an update or a full install?)

- I can't cancel the update. If i do that, the game asks me if i want to delete (WTF???) the whole game instead of canceling only the damn update!!! And i don't want to do that! This game is
[Mod Removed - Profanity] huge. I can't install it again because my internet speed is sooo slow and downloading 55 GB of data will take more than 5 or 6 whole days. When i first installed the game i was in a house that had a better internet
connection...not the case anymore. Also, nothing can assure me that this won't happen again...after all, when i installed the game for the first time, i had the same issue (installing got stuck halfway through the download) and i had to restart the installation
AND download 55 GB of update again...

So, i looked on the internet and i found out that this is a common problem with the console...this is so infuriating. All i wanted is to play Online...Any other ideas that don't involve deleting this thing?

Hey there. Thanks for the help.

Like i said, i tried to delete the update by canceling it, but a message appeared saying that if i did that, the whole game would be deleted too. It seems that the update was overwriting old files, hence the message warning.

Anyway, the problem solved itself. After more than 2 hours or so with my console turned on doing nothing, out of nowhere, the download started again and finished (before downloading the whole update file, might i add...weird weird weird), now i can access
the game again, Story Mode included. Thanks for the reply anyway.

I suggest others having the same problem doing the same: Leave your console idle, don't pause your download (even if it isn't downloading anything) that sooner or later the console will resume the download on its own...for some weird reason. Microsoft should
release a patch to fix this, since a lot of other people had this problem too. I found threads about this issue from way back in 2015...

If there is a way to close this thread, you can do this now. Thanks!

Try uninstalling whatever has downloaded so far, Then clear local saved games ( You won't lose anything, It's all saved in the cloud) Then try the update again

Not true. It turned out to be a driver issue with the receiver. For anyone with this issue, force update your receiver driver to the latest one (mine was stuck on 2.914 (or something like that)) and the xbox 360 controllers work fine in Gears of War 4
on Win 10.

Login works with iPadOS 14.6 … I reinstalled it after Update.
