Gears of War 4 PC won't get passed the initial title screen.

You have to purchase the digital game for it to be play any where. It does not work with game pass as you are only renting the game.

That is not true as I can play Forza Horizon 4, Gears of War 4, ReCore and Halo Wars 2 on PC with the Xbox Game Pass. Halo Wars Definitive Edition is the only Play Anywhere title which does not seems to work under Game Pass.

If this title is not a play anywhere title you will not be able to play it on the PC. That could be why you are getting the error to check the account. If you are unsure if a game is play anywhere it will say it in the description. example: Gears of war

Gears of War 4 is a Play Anywhere title, so you get it for both Xbox and PC when you purchased the digital version. You need Xbox Live Gold to play online, on the Xbox.

What game is it that you're playing? There are some games on Game Pass PC that don't have achievements, even if their console counterpart does.

Gears of war Ultimate, Gears of war 4 & Halo Reach

World War Z isn't an Xbox Play Anywhere title like Gears 4 is. It's not a PC title of the game that you bought and can sadly only be played on a compatible Xbox One console.
