GEARS OF WAR 4, disc xbox 1 x wont install

Hello game will not install it gets stuck at 17%. This is from retail on disc. Is this due to launch issues?

Tried restarting and making sure disc is clean.

Help!

Does my games have to install even though it's a disc?

Hi!I just got my Xbox One S today, and I'm wondering if I have to digitally install the games I have even if it's a disc.I got Gears Of War 4 with it, and had the disc(of course!) but as soon as it enters, it says I had to install the games, I'm worried because I bought a 1 TB console, and now it's already down to 600 GB because of me installing FIFA 17 and GoW , I'm planning to buy new games soon.Hopefully I don't have to install each game digitally.(Yes, again, I'll be buying them on disc, not from the Xbox Store)

Downloading Games To The Hard Drive

You should always install the disc to the hard drive

1) Its makes the system run faster
2) You don't burn up your DVD drive
3) If you somehow ruin your disk,it works most of the time

If you don't know how to do it, these are the steps - From Xbox.com

1) Insert the game disc into the disc drive.

Note: After you insert the disc, the default option is to automatically start the game. If the game starts, exit the game, and return to the Xbox Dashboard.

2) Go to Home.
3) Highlight the game you want to install with your controller.
4) Press X on your controller.
5) Select Install to Hard Drive.

A progress indicator appears while your game is installed to your hard drive. Installing a game to your hard drive can take up to 12 minutes.

Notes
· Installing a game to your hard drive requires between 4 and 8 gigabytes (GB) of free disc space.
· After installing a game on your hard drive, you still need to have the game disc in the disc drive when you start the game.
· Installing games on your hard drive improves load times and minimizes game disc access.
· Original Xbox games can't be installed on an Xbox 360 Hard Drive.

More than likely it's due to game updates that are interfering with the install. I'd recommend taking the console offline for the duration of the install.

Hi

I recently purchased the X box one x Gears of War console bundle. I redeemed all 4 codes I got with the console but thus far I cannot seem to locate gears of War 4. It is on the microsoft store and the option to buy it is there as is the option to install
it as part of the game pass. Can someone please advise me on this?

Your not the first one today with this problem i would check ready to install as well

When you install a game to the hard drive, the game will always run from the hard drive unless it is uninstalled.

I see that you have played Gears of War 3. If you are talking about this game, the disc will spin in the console for about 1-2 minutes as a security measure. Gears of War 3 is using a new format of disc that was added in the most recent Xbox Dashboard

The Xbox One S console comes with a download code for Gears 4, which should give you the online messages download codes for Gears 1-3.

The fine print on the console says that "to qualify [for Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Gears of War 3 and Gears of War: Judgment] purchase and play Gears of War 4 on Xbox Live by 31 December 2016. Must be 17+" -- Have you played Gears 4 on Xbox Live yet?
