Gears of War 4 Controller Issues

Anyone else recently picked up Gears of War 4 on XB1 and having an issue with the controls not working? I can't get through Act 1 part 1 because I can't get the tutorial moves to execute - vaulting while running and yanking, specifically. Just using the
default settings with a wireless controller.

As long as I get my Gears of War 4 themed Xbox One S and Gears of War 4 themed Xbox Elite Controller in October on release I will be happy.

I've yet to pull out the Gears 5 controller, so I'd say the Gears of War 4 controller at the moment.

Have you had any issues with other games, or is this the only game causing an issue? Is it not recognizing that the buttons are pressing, or it's performing the wrong actions?

It might be worth checking if there is a controller firmware update available and that the button mappings are what you're familiar with.
