Gears of War 3 Replacement Code Invalid

I got asked to post this by live chat support:

I received a code to download gears of war 3 in november last year because I had played gears of war ultimate edition. I received one code then another the day after, saying the previous code was invalid. I didn't see these messages until a couple of days ago.
My gears of war, gears of war 2 and gears of war judgment codes all work fine but neither the original or the replacement gears of war 3 code works. i just get an error message saying the error has been recorded and to try again later. I spoke to live chat
who had me try changing my location to the US but that didn't work, so they asked me to post here.

Do you get an error code with the error message? Are you actually located in the US? Usually the issues with downloading that game is region issue. The game is region locked so your account region has to match your physical location in order to download
it and you have to be in a region where the game is available for download.

 

No there's no error code. I am located in the UK and when I usually try and redeem it my location is set to the UK. I only changed my location to the US because the chat support rep told me to try that; I switched back to UK afterwards and again it failed
to redeem
