Gears of War 3 Promotional Code Not Working

Let me tell you my whole story, Some months Ago, i recieved Promotional codes, From Gears of War 1, 2, 3, Judgment, Because i bought the Gears of War Ultimate Edition, all the codes Worked good the Gears of War 1 and 2 i used same day i recieved the msj
from "xbox Live" with the codes, and the last code i used was the Gears of War Judgment code, i used it this morning, and worked perfectly, but the Gears of War 3 Code, is the one giving me problems, it detect the promotional code and everything Saying "Gears
of War 3" but when i try to redeem it (From the xbox one or the Xbox.com) it give this Msj:

"Something went wrong

Give it another try. If this happens again, let us know by entering the code below at xbox.com/errorhelp so we can investigate.

Gears of War Promotional Codes

Need Promotional Codes for:

Gears of War 1

Gears of War 2

Gears of War 3

Gears of War: Judgment

 

No codes for gears of war 1-3

When promotional codes come in the Gears of War 1-3. I bought a pre-order Gears of War 4th October 6th and codes did not come for some reason?

 

That game is region locked so generally it's a region issues. What region are you in and what region is your account set to?

 

I bought my xbox one (the console) in America, But the Gears of War Ultimate Edition (the game) i bought it here in Belgium (is where im living now) my account is set in Spain since i move here to europe because in america is dollar so i must use Euro now.
The other games are working without any problem, the only exception is with the Gears of War 3.

 

Not all of the Gears games were region locked which is why the others worked but this one doesn't. With region locked games, your account region has to match your physical location in order to download.

 

So do you think if i change my acount settings back to america could redeem the code and work?

 

I tried redeem the code through the belgium xbox page, and through the USA page, also i changed my account settings and put it in Belgium (i had it in spain because im not so good in dutch language, but now i see can be in spanish also) so i put it in belgium,
and when i go to the msj in my xbox one to redeem the code, it dont even give the opcion to change the code it comes automatic the msj again (try again later), so i put back the account to Spain, and now at least it let me change, but when i push "confirm"
the msj that cannot change try again later, comes out again... also the other code i still havemt redeem (the code of gears of war 1) if my xbox live account is in USA or Belgium do not work... happen same as i mentioned before, it don let me even go to the
confirm screen... so personally i dont think is the region locked the problem

 

When Smwutches says it's region-locked, that means you need to be physically located in the place where the code is from. If the code is of American origin, you would need be in the U.S. to redeem the code on Xbox.com or a console.

It's not enough to simply change the console's region settings.

Your account region needs to match your billing address which needs to match your physical location. That is the nature of region locking.

 

Ahhh okkaaayyy now i understand that part, but how i know where the code came from? because it just says "xbox live" i recieved it on a inbox msj to my xbox account... and i dont know then, because i bought this Gears of War Ultimate Edition here in belgium,
and here was that i recieved the code, if i have to be physically in the country where i recieved the code, i set everything as here in Belgium, my region settings, my biling, everything, and now what happen is that the code dont even open, i mean dont give
me even the option to "Confirm" the redeem... you understand me?... i dont really know what to do

 

You don't your account region must match your actual region and console region

Codes are universal except for currency and membership codes

 

Keep in mind certain regions and non xbox live regions don't work with every code

 

I dont know wich region is the code they sended, what i know is that all my settings are up to where im living. And the code still dont work and the game i bought it here in Europe. There is no place where i could teciebe the help from microsoft? Or would
be a waste of time?

 

You don't seem to understand your issue

It doesn't matter if you change your console region it must be the acount region and that can only be changed every 3 months

Under my account and change my region on this website

And yes it must be your physical region

The code is universal so unless you live in an Germany China or japan or non xbox live regions then they will work as long as you meet the criteria

Also your console must be changed to the correct region

 

Hello guys sorry for the late answer much work these past weeks, i changed everything on my xbox and my account

And still nothing works, now even the Gears of War one code wants to change, and these code i know was working.

I bought the Gears of War 4, and it comes also with some codes and also there the gow3 dont work...
