Gears of War 3 New Disc not detecting on Xbox One

Hi Gurus,

So after Gears of War 3 was included in the backward compatibility for Xbox One, I ordered the xbox 360 disc hoping that my Xbox one will detect the game and start the 360 emulator. However when I insert the disc I get the following error -

"Make sure you are using an Xbox One game, a music CD, or a movie on Blu-Ray or DVD(0x80820002)"

Now the problem is that I had also purchased Gears of War 2 as well and that did not work as well. I did try try troubleshooting the problem with GOW 2 with Xbox support but ended up concluding that perhaps the problem was with GOW 2 Disc. However now I
have Gears of War 3 and I get the exact same error and I now think that its perhaps something to do with my Xbox One Console. The GOW 3 disc was sealed and its brand new.

Not sure what I am missing. Really could use some help.

2 Gears of War codes not working

Got my deep blue Xbox one s bundle with a copy of the Gears of war 4 game disc, inside the disc case there is a coupon with 4 codes for the Gears of War games, I was able to redeem 2 of them Gears of war Judgement and Gears of War 2 however, the code for
Gears of war 1 and Gears of war 3 are not working. Already tried on a friends 360, xbox one s and through the app and web site. Support told me to post it here for further assistance. Please Help

First of all you need to have latest X1 Softrware installed OS version 10.0.10586.1006 (th2_xbox_rel_1510.151107-2322) fre. Than all electronically bought games will be available to download via Apps and Game tool. Go to games and scroll to the right. Between
your games and store there will be list of installable games. From that moment DVD from X360 should be recognized.

 

Thank you so much maciorz. Could you guide me how to update the OS of Xbox one ? I am disappointed that the Xbox support guy did not know about this....
