Gears of War 3 freezes on Press Start in Xbox One X and S

I launch the game, see the XBOX 360 splash intro then I see the Gears of War 3 screen. It tells me to Press Start.

I press start and it freezes making a rattling buzzing sound then eventually it shuts down the 360 game.

I have read from various other games that it could be a game profile corruption that I should try deleting the game profile from the cloud but I can't seem to that on the XBO X. Is that even an option anymore?

On the console's settings, I tried deleting anything related to Gears of War 3 but all I see is the Saved Data is an item called Reserved Space. I tried deleting that but it doesn't help. I have tried deleting the game install and all add ons as well.

What else can I do on my side?

This has been something that has plagued me on two consoles, the Xbox One S and now the X too. I really wish I could finally get this fixed.

Can someone help me please?

Gears of war 3 game help

I need help every time when i go on gears of war 3 i press start on the menu to start the game and it says loading gamer profile then my xbox freezes? can someone help me thanks!

Help please!!!!

After the most recent update on XBOX ONE my gears of war 2 has quit working. I go to load the game and it freezes on the "press start"

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

Thank you. I did as you suggested and problem is still the same.

I'm having issues on Gears Of War 2 on the Xbox one, on act 3, chapter 5, it freezes.

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

To play Gears of War 2 split screen on the Xbox Series X with a guest account, try the following steps:

1. Connect a second controller to your Xbox Series X.

2. Launch Gears of War 2.

3. Press the start button on the second controller to sign in as a guest account.

4. Once the guest account is signed in, press the start button on the first controller to start the game.

5. From the main menu, select "Campaign" or "Horde" mode.

6. Once you have selected your game mode, press the start button on the second controller to join the game as a split-screen player.

That's it! You should now be able to play Gears of War 2 split screen on your Xbox Series X with a guest account.

I got the lastest COD and i i also treated myself to gears of war 1, 2 and 3 in xbox 360 games as i am playing gears of war 4 at the moment, on my xbox one s, but i i kn that gears of war 1, 2 and 3 are backwards compatibility to play on xbox one
