Gears of war 3 code won't work

so I bought gears of war 4 and I was putting in the codes for the previous game titles. All of them worked except gears 3. I put in the code for it and once I hit redeem a message pops up saying it can't acquire my item in my currently selected language.
My language is in English ( United States ) and my language region is set to the same. Please help best you can. Thanks.

Its a 3 click proccess nmostly reading and clicking I agree not just select your region

It gave me that problem when i tried to redeem codes on the xbox; it gave me that error, I switched the location so that it didnt match my current location, it gave me the same error, I switched my location so that it matched my location again, and it still
gave me the same error. I had more success when i tried redeeming the codes through microsoft.com//redeem, which worked for the two codes that i've redeemed successfully. It gives me a list of numbers and letters, but when I enter these codes into the error
search system online it tells me that they aren't error codes...

 

Which region are you currently physically located in? If you are trying to redeem a code while located outside of where your Xbox Live account region is set, you will run into this error. Once we have that information we can further assist!
