Gears of War 2 and Gears of War 3 Golden Guns

So I am a huge Gears of War fan and i have all of them on backwards compatibility and I noticed that it gave me GoW 2 Golden Lancer and Hammerburst but it didn't go through to GoW 3, so I went to go reinstall the lancer/hammerburst, and once I uninstalled
it, it did not come back. I decided not to delete the Hammerburst because that would make it worse. My main question is how do I get my Lancer back?!

Gears of War 3

We just got Gears of War 3 in the mail yesterday, courtesy of our Game Fly subscription. It has excellent graphics and unique weapons, including a fully automatic machine gun with a chainsaw attachment. The storyline follows the previous two Gears of War games, but an intro cut scene will give you a general idea of what happened prior to Gears of War 3.

In my opinion, all 3 are worth owning.

Gears of War 2 golden lancer

The veteran gear achievement will get you the golden guns in gears 2 and gears 3.

Hey there COD Timebomber!

Sorry to hear that you are not able to install your items after uninstalling them. If you haven't already I suggest trying a few steps:

From the Home screen on your Xbox One console, navigate to My games & Apps.

Under the Games tab, select Gears of War 3 and press the Menu button.

Select Manage Game and then select Uninstall.

After you have uninstalled the game, press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.

Once your console has powered off, wait a few minutes and then turn on your console.

Navigate back to My Games & Apps and select Gears of War 3 from the Ready to Install list.

Select Install and check to see if you are able to see the missing items.

Gold Lancer

The golden lancer was part of the Epic Edition of Gears of War 2, and all who had it in Gears of War 2 will have it in Gears of War 3. The second way to obtain the Gold Lancer is to get the "Veteran Gear" Achievement in Gears of War 2.

Gold Hammerburst

The Golden Hammerburst was part of a midnight-madness event for Gears of War 2. Also, if you get the Veteran Gear achievement in Gears of War 2 it will unlock the golden skin for all five starter weapons.

Obtaining Veteran Gear (level 100) achievement in Gears of War 2 will unlock the following in Gears of War 3:

Golden Lancer

Golden Hammerburst

Golden Gnasher

Golden Sawn-Off

Golden Retro Lancer

The Golden Lancer in Gears of War 3 can only be obtained by 2 methods.

1. As part of the Limited Edition of Gears of War 2. All who had it in Gears of War 2 will have it in Gears of War 3.

2. The second way to obtain the Gold Lancer is to get the "Veteran Gear" Achievement in Gears of War 2.

Do you own the Limited Edition of Gears of War 2 or have the "Veteran Gear" Achievement in Gears of War 2?

No, the flaming skins were only unlockable through the Gears of War 3 Beta along with the Gold Retro Lancer. The Golden Hammerburst and Lancer were available for everyone who played Gears of War 3 the launch week. You could also get the skins (if you missed
the event) if you had the Gears of War 2 Golden Hammerburst and golden Lancer DLC.

We all know by now that earning the Veteran Gear Achievement in Gears of War 2 will net you *something* in Gears of War 3, but the precise details about that something were unknown.

This past weekend, Epic's Rod Fergusson revealed during a webcam stream what those of you who have earned your wings will receive in the upcoming title. Veteran Gears will be able to rock Member of the Old Guard medal and title for your multiplayer profile.
In addition, you'll receive golden weapon skins for the Lancer, Hammerburst, Retro Lancer, Gnasher Shotgun and Sawed-Off Shotgun.

Not interested in getting Veteran Gear? There is an alternate way to acquire each gold-skinned weapon, though many have already passed by.

Golden Lancer: Have the Golden Lancer in Gears of War 2

Golden Hammerburst: Have the Golden Hammerburst in Gears of War 2

Golden Retro Lancer: Unlocked in the Gears of War 3 Beta by getting 100 kills with the Retro Lancer equipped

Golden Gnasher Shotgun: Play a match within the first week of Gears of War 3's launch.

Golden Sawed-Off Shotgun: Have the Commando achievement from the first Gears of War, which is earned for clearing all levels on insane difficulty.

Contrary to the occasional rumor that has floated around, Epic is definitely not going to somehow scan profiles and penalize people who boosted Veteran Gear during XP events. In fact, Fergusson also revealed during the stream that XP events for Gears 2 will
take place every weekend so that as many people as possible can unlock Veteran Gear before Gears 3's worldwide, September 20th launch.
