    Gears of war 2&3 backward compatibility


    Hi all.

    I've just got the Gears Of War Ultimate edition.

    From what I gather, once you have started to play it, you can get then use the Discs (if you have them) for the 360 versions of Gears 2 and 3 in the Xbox one when the Backward compatibility bit is ready.

    Has anyone any idea of when this will be. I traded in my discs of those 2 games, so I will have to get some preowned ones. But I wont get them until I can use them in the Xbox one.

    Are you talking about the backwards compatibility? Looking for games not available on Xbox One as remasters?

    when backwards compatability arrives buddy , you will not need to purchase the gears discs , the games come free on backwards compat as part of the promo for playing the game in that time frame.

    That's brilliant news. Thanks TheMissingLyric. I didn't really want to purchase the games again, even if they would have been cheap being preowned.

    Will it automatically download the games or will their be a section in the store where you can download them. That's if anyone knows that yet as the backward compatibility thing is still a bit vague to me.

    I got the lastest COD and i i also treated myself to gears of war 1, 2 and 3 in xbox 360 games as i am playing gears of war 4 at the moment, on my xbox one s, but i i kn that gears of war 1, 2 and 3 are backwards compatibility to play on xbox one :)

    I would really love to see the Gears of war 2 and 3 coming to the Xbox one next update for the 360 game becoming Backwards compatibility due to the remastered version coming to the xbox not being the other Gears 2 and 3.
