Gears of War 1 Add-ons on german Xbox 360 marketplace

Question: A "Gears of War 1" Code is attached to the Gears of War 4 boxed versions for the german market (The boxes with the gigantic red USK18 logos on the cover".

Why is Microsoft doing this, if the GoW 1 Code is not redeemable in Germany?

I got the lastest COD and i i also treated myself to gears of war 1, 2 and 3 in xbox 360 games as i am playing gears of war 4 at the moment, on my xbox one s, but i i kn that gears of war 1, 2 and 3 are backwards compatibility to play on xbox one

The original Gears of War for xbox 360 is still not buyable in the german xbox live store or as boxed versions at local dealers. Neither on xbox 360 nor on xbox one or on xbox.com webstore. But the game is downloadable on xbox one if i insert the disk version
on xbox one.

Not shure if the codes generally not redeemable in germany or the code I received is corrupt.

The original xbox 360 Version was never officially released because of the refused rating. The pegi version was set on index by BPjM, a german governmental agency for youth protection, because of depiction of violence within the game. This summer this indexing
was cancelled. The Ultimate Edition got a rating by German USK and is released in Germany on Xbox one and Windows 10, but not on Xbox 360.

Maybe I should ask german Microsoft support directly.

Thanks for your response! However, my problem is a bit different. As I live in Germany I usually buy MS points here. So I have the points and can download everything from the German XBL marketplace without any problems, but as I own a UK version of Gears
of War 3 I'm not sure whether the season pass will work if I download the 'German' add-ons for the UK game.

(An example for similar problems I've encountered: I bought another game in the UK and had to activate an online pass to play online, but the code doesn't work here in Germany, so I can't activate it. I do realise this problem is different from the season
pass problem, I just wanted to show I've already had problems because of region locks.)

I could also make it short and ask: Would add-ons from the German marketplace work for non-German games?
