Gears of War 1 & 3 code included with Gear of War 4 not working

hello,

i just bought gears of war 4 and had some codes included to download 4 xbox 360 gears of war games, the codes for downloading gears of war 2 & judgement worked, but everytime i try to download gears of war 1 & 3 i get error messages.

Gears of War 3

We just got Gears of War 3 in the mail yesterday, courtesy of our Game Fly subscription. It has excellent graphics and unique weapons, including a fully automatic machine gun with a chainsaw attachment. The storyline follows the previous two Gears of War games, but an intro cut scene will give you a general idea of what happened prior to Gears of War 3.

In my opinion, all 3 are worth owning.

What is the error message/code you receive when you try downloading them? Does your account region match your physical location?

Those 2 games are region locked. So in order to download them, your account region has to match your physical location and you have to be in a region where the games are available.

This seems no longer to be true.

Games purchased from other regions will play if physical disk, but any connected download codes will not work.

There are issues for example with the Gears of War 1-3 codes (included with Gears of War collection) and the Fallout 3 codes (that came with Fallout 4).

To clarify, which codes are you referring to? Are you referring to the Gears of War collection that includes Gears of War 1, 2, 3 and Gears of War: Judgement?

The Xbox One S console comes with a download code for Gears 4, which should give you the online messages download codes for Gears 1-3.

The fine print on the console says that "to qualify [for Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Gears of War 3 and Gears of War: Judgment] purchase and play Gears of War 4 on Xbox Live by 31 December 2016. Must be 17+" -- Have you played Gears 4 on Xbox Live yet?
