    I have reported this three times now to Xbox Support Chat: I have not received correct codes for Gears 1 and Gears 3. I purchased the Gears 4 Ultimate Console and received working codes for Gears 2 and Judgement, but the codes for Gears 1 and 3 report a
    region error. This isn't my problem, so sort it out please. Thanks.

    I received my gears codes but my gears 2 code is a gears 1 code

    I received my gears game codes but my gears 2 code ended up being another gears 1 code.... yall gave me 2 gears one codes all the rest were fine just gears 2 ended up being gears1 again. Help?

    Yes. Gears: Judgment is included in the Gears codes.

    The codes themselves are not region locked, but the games are. Does your account region match your physical location?

  5. Hi, yes. It is an Xbox bought in Australia from an Australian retailer and my Xbox Live Account is an Australian account with an Australian credit card attached to it and in every possible place in System that a setting can be changed to Australia it has
    been changed to say Australia.

    What error message/code do you receive when you try redeeming the codes? Have you tried redeeming them on the website as well as the console?

    Even though everything is correct, you may also want to try re-entering your account information at Sign in to your Microsoft account

  7. Thanks, yes, I have tried multiple times across multiple channels. It was acknowledged as a known issue by the Xbox reps I chatted with. I will try the Commerce option, cheers.

    Hey Turgid,

    It does sound like this is still a region related issue. I understand you have looked at your account region and verified on your end, but please try migrating your account region to Australia using our
    Xbox Live Account Migrations Tool and then try those codes again. Let us know if that resolves the issue for you!

  9. Thank you Mister Beep, this appears to have done the trick (although after using the tool to migrate to Australia, I was dumped into the Xbox Store page which was suggesting I might like the pay for things using pounds sterling - which we haven't used since
    I think the early 60s). It is quite mad however - is there a quick and easy way for a person to determine what region their account is in via their console? Or even their online profile? Because if there was I would have spotted this issue instantly.

    you don't use the console to determine your region

    Commerce.microsoft.com

    But your console region has to match too
