Gears 5 Save file location

I played Gears 5 this weekend on steam when it was free and would like to continue on my save file now on the Xbox Game pass account.

I've found the steam save files but where should I put them so the Xbox beta app install finds those saves?

Steam is a separate Platform. It won't save to Xbox or transfer over. It does support cross play so you can be matched with people on console and PC when playing multiplayer.

I don't believe the they are asking about Xbox, they are asking about PC Xbox Game Pass. Now whether Gears Steam saves are compatible or not I couldn't say.

I'm talking about the "Xbox beta" (Windows 10) version, why are they calling it that? Why not "Xbox for Windows" or something...

You got to be able to transfer a steam save to "Xbox (beta)".

Or did they seriously make 2 different gears 5, one for "Xbox (beta)" and one for steam, gog and epic?

Saves are backed up on the cloud. It should have asked you to sync data first time you started the game, If it didn't then the connection issues may have prevented it from backing up the save to the cloud.
