Gears 5 pre-load on PC/Windows 10

When attempting to start the download it will immediately give a server error code 0x80070005. As far as I can tell there are no service outages at this time and I'm connected fine everywhere else.

So far I've tried to rectify the problem unsuccessfully by:

Restarting the computer.

Checking and disabling anti-virus and firewalls.

Making sure there is actually space on the hard drive, which it is.

OS and all relevant programs are up to date, which they are.

So far nothing has changed in error codes and the error happens instantly, no delay or partial install.

I am attempting to install this through the store app as I don't have Game Pass. The store app itself is up to date. I looked through the troubleshooting guides you provided but did not offer anything new to try. I have also tried using the Xbox beta app
(started as an administrator) with no change in error status.

For whatever reason I do not understand in the slightest the issue has somehow resolved itself. I had already checked multiple times for updates to Windows itself and installed one. Suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere, there was another update available which
I then installed and solved the issue, whatever that issue was. I guess what I learned from this is to be very meticulous when checking if everything is up to date.

Are you installing this via the Xbox Game Pass for PC app, or are you installing this via the Microsoft Store app? Are these apps up-to-date as well?
