    I have game pass ultimate and I have Gears 5 downloaded. The game is working fine. I have the terminator characters but both the spartans are not available in any of the game modes.

    I have done a hard reset and uninstalled / reinstalled with no joy.

    Anybody else having this issue or know how to solve it?

    Just to add to this, although the account that owns game pass is the only account that will get the ultimate edition content, all accounts that receive the content will maintain the content once their subscription expires. If you're interested in the ultimate
    edition content, it may be worth picking up a month of game pass ultimate.
