Gears 5 download reset from Windows Store

Gears 5 reset after 11 GB downloaded from the windows store on PC. It just restarted when I restarted my PC. Now I have slow internet and am not looking to update anytime soon and I have downloaded Gears 4 and others without any problem across multiple days
while turning off and on my machine multiple times. This is a great loss since 11Gb takes about 8 hours to download. Any insight or has this happened to anybody else?

Just delete the game, restart the pc and try again. If you still have issues report them through the xbox app.

But that is the thing, it deleted the game files by itself at 11GB, and restarted at 0 GB downloads. So I lost 11gb of the game.

You can download Gears 5 from the xbox app or ms store in windows 10

You need the Game Pass application installed on your PC to download Gears 5 with the subscription, it can't be installed from the Windows Store.

You can only download Gears 5 from the Windows Store if you purchase the digital game. This is why the message appears.

To download it for PC Game Pass you need to download the The Pass App.
