Gears 5 Dave commanders door

Act 1 Chapter 1. I like the game but can't seem to play it because of this issue. Can't use Dave to open the commanders door. i've seen a few other posts about this issue without any answers. I've tried reloading current and previous checkpoint. Can anyone
help? don't want to delete the game because of this issue/glitch

Have you looked up a youtube walkthrough to ensure you are doing the correct thing? Might be worth having a look.

May I ask, are you playing this game on the Xbox game pass subscription, or did you purchase the game?

The reason I ask is, sometimes Xbox game pass digital versions has been known to have a few glitches. This exact scenario happened to me during the game pass quest oh, and I was not able to complete them. Although after I performed a power cycle on my Xbox,
uninstalled and reinstalled the game, I was able to play through.
