Gears 4 - Locust Multiplayer Skins: Worth It?

Hello there! (General Kenobi)

I've recently got back into Gears 4 solely for multiplayer. I wanted to give it a chance as I skipped the online part of the game upon release, but I want to look the part as I do that.

I'm talking of course about the Locust Horde skins available for the Swarm Team.

I'm a huge fan of the Locust. I've found them cool since Gears 1 came out and I've not stopped loving them ever since. I find the character models for the Locust soldiers appealing to look at, and like to think they make me stand out in an online match.

However since the release of Gears 5, there's not been much attention paid to the loot crates containing the Locust skins. They are however available for purchase via scrap collected from salvaging customization assets and bounty cards etc, and with real
money.

Currently I have the Helmetless Theron Guard and the Locust Drone - but I want more options to choose from, more variety. And since I don't necessarily have the time to collecr scrap, I'm considering buying the rest of them with real money.

But since Gears 4 has been replaced by the 5th installment, I'm pondering if it's worth it to spend money on simple skins.

I'd not spend the money on them if I were you. It's not like the mp population of Gears 4 is going to grow so anything you spend on the game is less and less likely to be used. Wouldn't you rather spend your money on content in Gears 5? That way it'll
actually get played with and seen.

I would save your money, it's just worthless skins that will mean nothing when you stop playing the game.

If you like them and will be spending time in the game then go for it...or even if you play casually. It just really depends on how you feel about the skins. I've definitely spent money on skins as long as I like them and want to support the devs.
