Does anyone know what the best way forward from here is? I've contacted Microsoft Support and they directed me to the forums. I'm out of options.

The Forza Horizon 4 game may not boot or crash if the graphics card drivers on your computer is not updated or due to a software conflict with the other apps installed on your computer. To resolve your concern, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

Step 1: Run the troubleshooter for Windows Apps on your computer by clicking the run troubleshooter button on this

link.

Step 2: Click on this link for the steps to perform a clean boot. This process will start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup
programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program in Windows 10.

Step 3: Reset the game from the Settings menu. This process can help restore corrupted game installation files.

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard, and then click the Settings icon.
2. Select System, and then select Apps & features.
3. Find the game, and then click on Advanced options.
4. Click Reset.

Step 4: Reset Windows Store to clear the Store cache.

1. Press Windows key + X on your keyboard.
2. Click on Command prompt (Admin).
3. Type wsreset.exe, and then hit Enter.

So, when trying to play Forza Horizon 4, the game keeps crashing even after uninstalling and reinstalling the game? Thank you for checking that the drivers and PC were updated. To perform a clean boot, check out the following link:

Please try this before the clean boot:

If Forza Horizon 4 is disabled from being a background app it may crash or hang when suspending and resuming. check whether the setting is set to Off: Privacy > Background apps > Forza Horizon 4 > Off. Please keep this setting On.
