Gears 3 friend invite issue

Ive been playing GoW3 for years, my brother just bought it and we are not able to invite eachother or join eachothers games and on the main screen it does not even show him on the "friends online" portion. now when I look on my friends list through the console
itself it shows him playing gears but there is no way for us to play with eachother. I have all DLCs and he only has fenix rising and the free one they released, could that be the issue? ive never had this issue before and im hoping someone can shed a little
light. thank you.

this game better not have an option....

To invite your whole friends list ( I think gears of war 3 had this.. but I know 2 did). I have a few friends that play gears of war 2 all day and I get invites to play gears 2 all the time which gets quite annoying..

 

Can't chat/game with friend

Yes this is just with him because the night before i joined in on my friends playing gears 3 campaign and was chatting with them. And yes, i do get disconnected from xbox live pretty often for no reason, but its only when im like on the dashboard or playing
a game that isnt online multiplayer. i never get disconnected then i am playing a multiplayer game like mw2, gears, etc. so like i said if i try and invite them into my gears 3 party, it dosent work but i can invite anyone other friend and it will work.

 

Currently there are issues with Gears of War 3 inviting on Xbox One and the developers and Xbox are working on a fix.
