Gear of War 4 Game + $10 Microsoft Code and I have not received the $10 gift code yet

I purchased this promotion on 10-10-16 with an email confirmation that a $10 gift code would be sent to my email within 10 business days after release. As I would have expected to get an email by now I thought I would go to the Microsoft store chat and find
out what is going on, after speaking with the first representative with my issue I was told to contact the Xbox support chat. After chatting with a very nice person from xbox they said that they found it odd that I was sent to them as this was a Microsoft
promotion and was then asked to contact them again. So I get in contact with a Judy from Microsoft store chat who was not much help at all and tells me the following :

having a little trouble trying to find out about a $10 gift code that

was supposed to be sent via email with a recent purchase of gears of war

Judy: No worries I will be more than happy to assist you in your concern. May I ask if you are also a Microsoft Rewards member?

You: I've already

spoken to one person at the microsoft store and was referred to xbox

support. I went there and they said i should contact the microsoft store

support as this was an bonus from the microsoft store and not xbox

You: Yes i am a rewards member. Also if you need the last reference number from the contact at xbox it was 1359988016

Judy: For XBOX Live Rewards member, instead of the $10 code, 15000 points are deposited into your account instead.

You: According to the

purchase it says i should receive a second email within 10 days of

purchase which it has been with a $10 gift code. No mention of 10,000

points being added which i have not received either.

You: My main concern is

that I bought this deal to use the $10 toward the purchase of Titanfall

this friday and I was begging to worry that I would not receive the

offer purchased before then.

Judy: The points are deposited into the account every 15th and 30th of the month.

Judy: Xbox Rewards members qualifying for the Offer will not also qualify for the $10 Gift Card promoted on Microsoftstore.com.

You: Well my purchase

was on the 10th and i did not receive points on the 15th, so you are

saying that now i will not receive the points until the 30th? After i

have an order confirmation of a $10 gift code? Which shows to be

complete according to my order account?

You: "Your $10

Microsoft Store gift code will be delivered to your email address within

10 business days of game release" from the email I was sent.

Judy: I understand that it

does show in your email but the points in replacing code has been place

since last year. And applies to all pre order games.

You: The only reason I

purchased this online was to get the $10 gift card to use toward the

Titanfall 2 pre-order otherwise I would have downloaded off of the xbox

instead of online at the microsoft store which promoted this at no

mentioned of the gift card going towards rewards points which I will now

not receive until after I am wanting to use them? I find this very

troublesome and I am not very happy as this was mentioned no where in my

purchase or on my order

You: If this has been

in place for over a year why is it not mentioned in the email or

ordering information if you are a rewards member. The same email is used

with both my xbox and rewards accounts so I'm having trouble believing i

should not be receiving a $10 gift card as ordered.

Judy: It is shown at the

Microsoft Store site with the pre order game. And I understand if you

don't believe me but we have been doing it for that long.

You: Gears of War 4 for

You: This is my invoice, but you are saying I will instead be compensated with rewards points

Judy: Yes.As all with other rewards members."

I ended the conversation thinking that this would be the last purchase I make at the Online Microsoft store as I do not recall seeing anywhere in the purchase that I would be granted rewards points instead of a $10 Gift card on my Invoice and Order. If anyone
can please help with this I would much appreciate it as I am very upset with this answer I was given.

Not received Store Gift Codes for Pre-Orders

Pre-ordered Gears of War 4 and Mafia III both came with $10 Microsoft Store Gift Codes from the store online. Have not received the codes as of yet for either.

 

I haven't received my codes for Gears of War 4 pre-order

Got the codes for the Gears 1-3 and Judgement but have not received the $10 store gift code yet.

 

Unfortunately the Microsoft Store site does not update to show Rewards program information. The Rewards program does send emails to inform members of offers like this and has sent out a couple about that offer. In order to not receive rewards credits, you
would have to make the purchase using an email address that is not attached to your Rewards account.

Unfortunately there is nothing anyone can do on this forum. You could try posting in the Rewards forum to see if there is anything they can do to cancel the credits, but it would still be up to Microsoft Store support to get you the $10 code.
