    Gear 5 Ban Query


    I recently received a temporary ban on Xbox Live whilst playing Gears 5. However, this suspension has since expired and yet I'm unable to play on Gears 5. When launching the game I receive the following message:



    "Unable to connect to the Gears of War services. 1 or more players are currently restricted. Gamertag banned."

    I'm confused as it doesn't state how long I am banned for. I presumed that the ban duration would have been the same as the Xbox Live ban, but evidently this doesn't seem to be the case. Can anyone provide any information on this issue?

    If you are only banned from Gears online I suggest contacting them on their forums

    As the ban only effects your profile you would simply need a new Gold account in order to play Gears online again. I recommend contacting Epic first before doing anything.
