GDC 2015

No major revelation ?

Elite : Dangerous coming on Xbox one is "my major revelation".

Can't wait.

The rest was expected,also it is a devs meeting :new game engines,indie devs promotes their games,a bit of hardware here and there,some software improvements....So,it's cleary different from E3 and Gamescom which are more focus on games.

But still,some stuffs were interesting.

By the way,did you saw that Microsoft teased (one more time),Battletoad at the end of Shovel Knight trailer...

 

I never had the opportunity to play the original Battletoads when I was a kid, so it never grew on me; that, and ever since I've heard about that 1 nigh-impossible level... Well, I'll just say there's not much incentive for me to care just yet...

 

Not much there but still worth watching.

Just because PS doesn't throw a parade every time they do something doesn't mean they don't have people optimizing PS4. The ICE Teams sole purpose is optimization. I have a feeling people are expecting crazy things from Dx12 and are going to be disappointed.
Only time will tell, but if Phil Spencer isn't hyping it up, then that should say something.

 

You guys take things way to serious.

 

Just use PM fonction,no needs to put you hate or dumb commentary in front of everybody.

 

I agree with both Goat and Tzar; and last I checked, Phil Spencer WAS hyping up DX12.

Hate of what? I know it goes against what this forum has turned into, but not everyone who disagrees or is objective hates Xbox. Like I've said before I've been with xbox since day 1, beta tested xbox live...ect. As for dumb commentary you should probably
reread your post.

Phil Spencer has stated that it will be beneficial for dev on PC. He has tempered expectations when it comes to Xbox One.

I still think DX12 will improve things but not by a HUGE margin some are claiming! I've said it all this goes way over my head but I see it like this ...

We have the Xbox One console, CPU's etc, now Microsoft can 'tinker' here and there and will we see it improve but unless they change some of it's parts then how can there be MAJOR improvements?

It's a bit like cars I guess. Now Ford for years had the 2.0 TDCI Engine, produced about 143bhp, now I have the same engine in my Ford but it produces 163bhp, Ford just tuned it a little and it improved performance slightly, especially mid range.

Now Ford have another 2.0 TDCi engine coming in the second half of 2015, this one has just over 200bhp but instead of one turbo it has two, the engine has been strengthened and performance is suppose to be greatly improved.

I hope the above makes sense but what I'm saying, unless the Xbox One went back and had different more powerful parts fitted, how can it change dramatically?
