Garanty expire in 12 month not in 24 months ?

I bought an XBox on 25/12/2019, on my Microsoft accounts I see the garanty expires 25/12/2020 (i.e. 12 months only).

Microsoft tells garanty is 2 years: it should expire 25/12/2021.

Does someone else found this misalignement in garanty expiration date ?

As blueamcat has said standard warranty is 12 months however the only time that us extended is if a specific countries law states there has to be a minimum period for a warranty. If you believe that it should be two years, you may want to get in touch with
the Device Service & repair team and /or Xbox Support Via this link

Manufacturer warranty is always 12 months. If you are not in the USA, then I believe the extra 12 months is covered another way.

How does the expiration work for the game pass core? I recently put in a 12 month one but it still shows my old one that expires on the 5/24/24. Do I have to wait for that one to expire before I can see when the 12 month one does?

I got this problem few months ago, once the garanty was expired of course.

So i bought the "sensor module" and replace by myself. Now it perfectly works.
