    So my Gamertag got changed to PrettyCalf? And now its asking me to pay to change it back. I had no idea my previous name was an offensive name . It's been linked with my microsoft account for years and i've never had any complaints, i made it because it's
    always been my nickname ever since i was in primary school, all of 20 years ago. I'm sincerely sorry for causing any offense, i never meant it. I just think $13 is abit steep to have to change my name. Thankyou

    Redeem Gammertag issue

    When I try to access the "recover gamertag" option in my xbox dashboard, it says it "cannot play game" and askes me to try downloading it again and shortly resets to the dashboard home screen. Does anyone know what this issue is and how to fix it.

    yes when you recovered the game it doesnt send the downloaded game to the recovered tag. You would have to re download it unless your playing on the xbox where the gamertag was made on or had the hard drive.

    To clarify, the first free GT change is only within the first 30 days of the account and if you were assigned a random GT. You don't get a free GT change if you chose your GT up front. Sorry for the confusion.

    I see where you can get one gamertag change for free then each other change will cost you 800msp
