Gaming services not downloading or working properly.....

So as everyone at Microsoft probably knows, Halo Infinite multiplayer has released today on 11/15/21. trying to launch it from Xbox Gamepass it sends me to the microsoft store to download gaming services... which is already downloaded to my pc.... ive since tried uninstalling and reinstalling mutliple times but with no success... this has happened multiple times in the past with other games but ive been able to get it to work by reinstalling it. ive tried running several scripts through powershell but to no avail as well....

None of these fixes worked, and even though its completely ridiculous to suggest a customer completely re install windows, I did do just that and it STILL doesn't work. Ever time I attempt to launch Halo Infinite, I get booted to the stupid gaming services tab. I have been waiting so long just to play Halo's campaign and to have to jump through this many hoops to still not be able to play the game is infuriating. Is this just a bug that means I cant play the game I payed 60 dollars for and there's nothing I can do to fix it? Because I am on a completely new version of windows installed and I cant play the game I paid for.

I have tried this and it does nothing. Everything I try to download errors out with error code 0x00000001. Rebooting doesn't help, trying all of the methods you listed except for in place upgrade (cannot find a Windows 11 iso), but nothing works.

Follow these steps, if one doesn't work, move on to the other.

1. Open Windows Update and look for updates, update everything, including optional updates. Restart to apply updates and try again.

2. Press Windows Key + i and go to apps, search for ''gaming services'' click ''advanced options'' and then ''terminate, repair and reset. Try installing the game again.

3. Launch PowerShell as an administrator and enter

“get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers”

Restart your PC, open PowerShell as admin again, and enter

“start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN”

The Microsoft Store will open and ask to install Gaming Services, install. Then try installing any game again.

If the problem still persists, try an in-place upgrade. This link has instructions.

This is happening to loads of people on various game. The problem seems to be with gaming services. I have spent 12 hours trying all the microsoft suggestions and others as well. Nothing seems to work.
