Gaming services issue 0x803FB005

Hi,

I'm a French user, I recently made a full reset of windows.

I'm sure that I have the latest version in Windows Update, The latest graphic driver and also all apps are getting updated.

I'm using the Xbox game pass for PC (Beta), It asks me to download Gaming services App, the thing is that the download never starts (All other apps are installing, excepts those who required it as AOE2 or Gears5)

I successfully installed Sea Of Thieves. The issue is about Gaming Services That fails and give me a 0x803FB005 code.

I followed the Reset procedure of the store, also used a lot of command in powershell, tried the troubleshooting tool… Is there any log file that can give me more informations about the issue ?

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having this issue but after reading a few articles and watching a couple of videos, I think I’ve found a solution to your problem.

Looks to be a common problem at the moment. I heard other people were just sitting in microsoft store hitting the retry button on gaming services download each time it failed, and some were having success with it.

I set up a macro on my mouse to click every 4 seconds, left it over the retry button for 3 hours, and came back to an installed gaming service. I'm not 100% sure it will work for everyone, but if you have no options left and can work a macro, it's one more
chance than you have otherwise.

I have tried everything above and reinstalling windows. After reinstalling Windows, the Xbox app wants an update that will not install. If you remove the app and try to reinstall it from MS Store you get the error code: (0x803FB005). I got out an old laptop and tried to download it there, same issue. Connected to hotspot on my cell phone service (to try another internet provider), same issue. This is a Microsoft issue, not end user issue.

Hi guys,

Exact same issue, new install of Windows 10 and the "Gaming Servies" app won't install thanks to the 0x803FB005 error. Second day now and it still won't work, having done all the suggested methods for fixing the issue. Not a good first experience with the
Windows 10 gaming platform...
