Gaming services is already installed...why does it keep forcing me to download it again?

1.Press Windows Key + i and go to apps, search for ''gaming services'' click ''advanced options'' and then ''terminate, repair and reset. Try /playing the game again.

If the problem persists>

2.Launch PowerShell as an administrator and enter

“get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers”

Restart your PC, open PowerShell as admin again, and enter

“start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN”

The Microsoft Store will open and ask to install Gaming Services, install. Then try playing any game again.

Why does that service being down keep me from launching madden 18. It's already downloaded. I just want to continue my offline franchise.

Why does everytime I start the game it asks me to install/download the Compatibility Pack? I've already installed all the 2nd disc and installed/downloaded the Compatibility Pack when I first put vanilla disc in. Yet everytime I play the game it prompts
me to do it afain!

Yep, all tried. I can't uninstall Gears 5 because it keeps claiming it needs to be installed, then immediately says its ready to play but won't show me the play button.

I'm trying the powershell part now of uninstalling/reinstalling the gaming services. Right now its hanging on trying to start the donwload of the gaming services. I will post again if it goes through. Not sure why its hanging.

As a side note, I tried installing a different game (Surviving Mars) and it worked just fine. Downloaded, and let me play as expected.

As an update, my PC is refusing to re-install the gaming services now. It just hangs at the download and never actually proceeds.

Does anyone have any insight as to what is going on here?

OK so I have now uninstalled Netflix again. There are 2 things I am noticing here:

1. When you try to re-install from the store, it simply uses the original install file you have already downloaded before, and does not download again. Is there a way to completely delete the install file so that the XBox is forced to start again?

2. I can see in the Netflix app in the store, that it says "Release Date 22/11/13". This seems to be before they even added voice support so is it possible I am only getting the option to download a very old version of Netflix, and if so, any idea why?
