Gaming Services error 12007 (0x2ee7)

Whenever I try starting an xbox game-pass game (like fs2020 or snowrunner) I just get sent to the ms store page for gaming services.

I've tried the powershell based reinstall procedure you'll find all over the internet with no success.

Nor did doing an in-place reinstall of windows.

And if I try starting the gaming services manually I get the error from the subject line

I've also got kb5004296 installed, but that also didn't fix it

Hello, I am also experiencing this same issue as well. I tried doing the Powershell method of reinstalling but no luck. I will try what you suggested above and hopefully that will work.

I am currently on Version 1909 OS Build 18363.1440 (though I did do some recent updates while still on this version)

UPDATE: I could not find the registry keys after searching.
I also ran System File Checker and it could not find an issue.

Please try to carry out the solutions below.

*Follow each step in order, even if you've already done it, do it again, please.

Solution 1:

Open RegEdit as an administrator and delete the following Services:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServices]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServicesNet]

PC reboot

Install gaming service like you would normally

Solution 2:

Go to your windows settings, go to the tab>applications and resources>Search for Gaming Services, click on it go to advanced options, and tap repair.

Solution 3:

Launch PowerShell as an administrator and enter “get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers”

In the same powershell window, enter "start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN"
