gaming on x box one

I have just got a X box one and have got it working with Fifa 17, I would like to game online with others and being new to all this I cannot understand what I need to do to achive this.

Can someone explain in words of one for a complete novice what I need to do?

Do I need a gold account and/or a EA account for instance ?

Will a gaming headphone that says it will work with X-box 360 work with an X-box One?

Hi,

Not sure if this is the best place to ask this, but its the only place I could find!

I am thinking of getting my boyfriend an X Box One X for Christmas.

I know nothing about X Boxes or gaming in general. As he has an X Box One already, would I be wasting my money?

He is interested in VR gaming and I have read that the X has the capability to support it? Is there any VR accessories he'll need?

Any advice/help is appreciated.

While single player gaming does not require Xbox Live Gold, a Gold subscription is necessary for playing with other gamers online. A gold subscription can be purchased through your console or at the Xbox.com website; however, you may find that many of the
gaming and other big online retailers sell Xbox Live Gold membership subscription cards and/or downloadable digital codes for less than the prices listed through the console or the Xbox website. Just be sure to buy specifically either a code or card for
an Xbox Live Gold subscription and not a standard Xbox gift card, as the Xbox gift cards cannot be used directly toward a gold membership.

I really can't remember if EA requires you to set up an account nowadays, but if so, it would be free and you would be walked through the registration process upon launching Fifa 17 or any other EA game.

I can verify that x-box one games will transfer from web to the x box one. The free game of the month will only work on the 360 there is no backwards compatibility feature on the x box one as of yet.

Outlast is X-Box One and I have installed, on my X-Box One, 360 games/dlcs that she had purchased (on her X-Box).

Yes, I've gone to the website to download X Box One games to my library, but I cannot.

To clarify again, I don't have an X Box One console so I cannot install it. The message will say I don't have the required device.

I do have a one year gold membership, pre-paid card.

In the past, games with gold can allow me to add an X Box One game to my library even without an X Box One console. If I purchase an X Box One console, my free games with gold games will be in the library.

Now there is no option online to add the X Box One game to add to the account unless I own a X Box One console.

Hopefully, you can help further. If not, thanks for the reply anyways.

I bought the x box one and give to my brother the x box 360 the console stay in the house. so I can play later future x box 360 games.

I Know it works the same way on all consoles, but for some games its only for the 'x box one enhanced' umbrella. DTS X is irrelevant because its not in games thats only for blu ray output at the moment. For example, i bought shadow of the tomb raider
on my base model x box, and atmos audio is not supported on the base model x box, on the x model only, and possible the s, not sure about that. I confirmed this in a phone call with microsoft support, which i made because i wasnt geting atomos with it. I
also confirmed this through the forums. Apparently you weren't aware that not all games with dolby atmos for x box have it enabled on all consoles, sometimes just the higher ones, unless it has changed in the last six months. I need to know if the atmos
enabled games that dont support atmos on the base model x box but support it on the x box one x, also it n the s box one s also, so i can buy one to have atmos on all available games with it. Its NOT available for all games that have atmos on the base model
x box . If you could find this out i would be very happy.
