  1. Gaming monitor not working at 120 hz 1440p

I got an aoc aoc agon aq24qx and after reading through previous threads, i know xbox had an issue with supporting any monitors that doesn't have default 120hz refresh rate. I still have the same issue so is xbox going to come out with an update that can
fix this so everyone with 1440p 144hz monitors can play xbox with a gaming monitor?

Whata holding back from making updates to address this issue?

I own an xbox one s and i am sure the hardware is capable and the only thing holding back xbox is the software?

    :)

    1440p@ 120 hz issue xbox series x

By the way I might have made a mistake in my question. Obviously the full potential of the monitor is 1440p@144 hz but I am only looking for 1440p@120 hz

It is a Native 1440p 120 hz monitor, however it can run on 4k 60 hz. The monitor is not the problem I have been experiencing because I tested numerous monitors.

Put it down to 120 Hz 1440p

Your monitor doesn't support vesa 166hz

    165hz is an.off.timing

whats the point when the xbox cannot do 144FPS, its like asking a sloth to run as fast as a cheetah.

Xbox one s is barely able to hold 30fps in some games and this is fact.

    Hi,

Finding it really difficult to find an exact match for AOC AQ24QX. Can you please verify what the exact model your monitor is please?

High refresh rates of 144Hz isn't supported by Xbox One S and X and will never be supported as the hardware isn't capable. To get 120Hz, you need a compatible monitor. And while high refresh has a benefit over standard 60Hz displays, the Xbox One doesn't
benefit as much from this as most games on Xbox are only 30 fps.
