Gaming Monitor

This question is for anyone with experience using PC gaming monitor's on the Microsoft Xbox One console.

With me upgrading to a Microsoft Xbox One S console, I'm considering getting a PC gaming monitor for my old Microsoft Xbox One console for an Esports style setup. What are some of the main reasons that you would recommend using a 1080p PC gaming monitor
over a 1080p TV for console gaming?

I'm wanting at least a 27" monitor, even better would be a 32" monitor. Would there be any reason not to get a 32" monitor, over the 27" monitor?

I'm sure the graphics would be the same on both monitors.

Sure, I don't see why not. What concerns you about gaming monitors that they won't be suitable for video streaming?

Most modern Monitors will work fine on the Xbox One S. Be aware though that while the One S supports 4K, it doesn't play games in 4K. Games on the One S are in 1080P (or lower and then upscaled).

Are you planning on upgrading to a Series X? If so, you should look at these.

Thanks for your post. I understand you are experiencing an issue with your Monitor not receiving input from your Xbox One S. Is the Xbox One S still working with other monitors? If not, please try another monitor/television.

If the issue persists with the problematic monitor, it could be an issue related to the monitor's HDMI input port.

Yes, you can use the Xbox One/S/X with a PC monitor with a hdmi connection. bear in mind though, if the monitor does not have speakers, then you will need to use a headset for sound.

many thanks bro. Is there any xbox one s version like us,europe or asia.beacause mybplan is to buy xbix one s here in spain,but i will use it in phillipines using dvd games. Is the games in dvd in phlippines will play in that unit from spain?

It's a really good 27 inch 2K60 monitor.

It's widely considered to be the best 2K monitor on the market, one of the best g-sync monitors on the market, one of the best 27 inch monitors one of the best overall gaming monitors on the market. But all of that comes at a very high price.

It really depends what you're looking for. Are you after a 1080p g-sync HDR monitor? A decent 4K monitor? A 4K HDR monster of a monitor? A massive screen?

It's not a good idea to pick any monitor for Xbox gaming, for the simple reason that most of these older monitors are sold and marketed towards PC gamers where high refresh rates can be fully utilised via display port. PC gamers looking for a monitor don't really look at the specs of the provided HDMI ports.
