Gaming community site idea

I am thinking of creating a website that is designed to bring clans together. I know there are many sites that already do this, but I will trying to make this one different. Many people don't have a clue how to create a website
or just don't have the time. So what I will be doing is creating a page for each clan and giving each clan a section in the forums. I am looking for ideas and feedback on this idea. All welcome

Game companies should get elite players, by elite( I mean people who played games for a long period of time) should help decide what the next big game should be. Us gamers should have a voice. People wanted San Andreas 2 because the first one you could do
so much but when GTA 5 came out, it felt like I was limited on what my character can do. As a gamer I connect with my character and I want to be able to have more free will. Being able to invest in him/her to make more money, or be stronger, etc.

People that work for game companies are huge fans of gaming themselves. Otherwise, they wouldn't be there.

 

If you have so cool idea for Xbox there's always the feedback site. Have a look around there.

why don't XDbox say to manufactures when it says 1-2 players that the game should allow 2 players on one game on one console to play the game together....mmmm let me think Playstation allowed you to on PSone. I think it is fustrating that you have to play
on 2 consoles even though it says 1-2 players this is confusing and infuriating so come on Microsoft sort this out as all the games I have are only allowing 1 player to play it your machines should be capable of allowing 2 players to play a campaign on one
console.

False. A lot of people in the games industry originally wanted to do something else. Like work on movies for Disney/Pixar, or coding work for big websites, etc. But it's hard to find jobs out there. So they work where they can. That's why you see a lot of
games using outdated or broken mechanics. They don't know what's good or what people like because they don't play games.

 

Its not that dev teams don't know what gamers want. Its about publishers having no balls and only sticking with what they sold previously. Same in the music industry, same in the movie industry.

And its a shame too. There is so much money in gaming these days compared to when I was a kid, but there is 5 times less creative freedom allowed. Instead it just gets blown on copy & paste stuff and then when gamers get sick of it, dev teams lose jobs.

And that my friends happens in every business in the world. Money and personal egos take over from what is important.

 

I'm not saying that no developers are gamers. That would be foolish. This person said that "all developers are gamers". I was merely pointing out that is simply not the case. At least according to Cliff Blezinsky in an interview he gave. He seems like the
kind of person who would know.
