Gaming Headset with Computer Monitor

I have a AOC computer monitor hooked up to my Xbox One S and I also have a Corsair mouse and Keyboard connected to my Xbox.

I can hook my Astro headset up directly to my AOC monitor and get game audio but no one can hear me.

Is there any adapter or something I can buy so that people can hear me in party chat?

I don’t want to hook my headset to a controller because it will turn off every 15 minutes.

I can’t plug the controller into my Xbox to keep it from turning off because I’m using all my USB ports.

I can’t join a party on my phone because then I wouldn’t have game audio.

xbox does not support usb headsets to my knowledge so you would not be able to use 3.5mm to usb adapter.

why is your controller turning off after 15 minutes, if its the battery or battery pack you may need a new one, or plug your controller into a charger or usb port to keep constant power on.

If I buy the 3.5mm to USB adapter and a USB hub will my audio quality suffer?

I previously had an adapter that I plugged into my Xbox controller and I plugged my headset into that.

When I plugged the headset straight into my controller the audio wasn't nearly as clear, and I couldn't adjust game volume vs. voice volume.

I plugged my Elite Series 2 controller (less than a month old) into my iPhone charging block last night, and not only did it still go off but when I powered my controller back on I had no game or chat audio.

I tried powering it on and off and I plugged and unplugged my headset from my controller multiple times and never did get it working again.

I ended up having to unplug my headset from my controller and back into my monitor before I could even get game audio much less game chat audio.

I'm not trying to be difficult or argue it's just the things that have been suggested I've tried and they didn't work.
At least not for me.

If the adapter wouldn't work what about a mixamp?

I have a friend with an Astro TR Pro mixamp that only has a USB and digital optical cable.

He plugs the digital optical and USB into his Xbox and he plugs his 3.5mm directly into his mixamp and has game and chat audio.

I would be bypassing my monitor and controller at that point I don't see how it couldn't work.

alot of headsets claiming they work on xbox don#t, i have an msi 7.1 usb headset, says compat with xbox, ps4 etc, xbox does not support most if not all usb headset for audio, ps4 does no issues.

i tested and just plugging the xbox controller into a usb charging plug for a phone did the trick, stays on constantly on mine.

Hi There,

Unfortunately, if you are connecting your headset to your monitor there is no way for your monitor to pass voice audio to your Xbox. You are either going to have to connect it to your controller or connect your headset to your Xbox instead of the monitor.
You could purchase a USB hub that is compatible with your Xbox so that you get more USB ports, this may solve your problem.
