    Gaming headset setup?


    Hi all!!

    For Christmas I got a set of HyperX gaming headset and while I can just plug it into my PS4 controller and set it up so all the sound just goes through the headset (no one else in the room can hear it) for the life of me I can't seem to get it to work on
    my Xbox One? I played Burnout: Paradise City for a while but the sound was coming from both TV and headset??

    Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    N.B. I have the older style XO and controller and I have the Stereo Headset Adapter.

    Are you using a Microsoft brand controller or third party controller. My headphones will not work with my Afterglow controller but will work with my Microsoft controller.

    Using the RCA from the headset and plugging them into the tv will give you the sound and i believe you just plug the power into the USB. There will be no problems, it i plug and play.

    Hello, the use of the Xbox's audio video dongle should not have interfere with the HDMI video on your Xbox if you are wanting to use it for the audio on your XL1's.
