Gaming community raspberry Award... and now for the winner...

I really hope so, i can recall back in the day (yeah, that makes me sound old)... when you would buy a full game... no DLC's or addons or micro-transactions to make you look cooler, or give you game bonus's.

This was obviously back when games were more focused on LAN and local gaming rather than internet gaming.

It felt like back then, games were 100% complete... and now, it feels like game publishers sell an 80% completed game at full price, then charge extra for the "DLC's" and addons which actually just complete the game.

I feel loot boxes are wrong and harmful to the industry - the are just another form of gambling (and do we really want kids hooked on that?)

We as individuals have the power to buy or not, they arent going anywhere any time soon. I personally do not buy add ons or any sort of micro trans. If a game has a season pass i buy that edition and that is it. If i cant unlock it through game play i
dont need it. Looking at the business aspect of it , if i was a company making a game i would want to make as much as i could of the product i am selling. Do i think its right? No. Do i understand why they do it? Yes. This is all just the way i look at it
and my thoughts on the subject personally.

I'm not a fan of kit boxes and don't use them unless I'm spending in game earned money.

I can understand free to play games being some sort of mechanic to earn money but not necessarily my boxes. However for games you pay full price for, they should only be available as in game rewards.
