Gaming chair help

I really need help if possible.. Hope you are all well

I bought a second hand gaming chair today, (X Rocker Jet).. This chair came with no cables so I have had to buy an adapter to plug it in the wall which is fine. Now the dilemma that I have got, how to go about setting up the audio.

On the X1 there is an Optical Output (As u all know)

On my TV there is an Optical Output and a 3.5 mm output.

The input on the gaming chair is 3.5 MM..

So I have come to the conclusion that I can either use a 3.5mm to 3.5mm.. Or I can get an optical converter to convert the HD audio back to standard audio

Would there be any difference in doing either?

The only reason I am confused, is because is the manual it shows a setup for portable devices of 3.5mm to female red and white, then a red and white male plugged in to the female with a 3.5 plugged in to the gaming chair, can't understand why they didn't just
plug in a 3.5 to 3.5 and be done with it?

Gaming Chair

Anybody have one? Looking to cap my gaming setup with one. Any recommendations? I don't need the whole sound concept. Just something comfortable. I currently sit in a computer chair.

Yeah the RCA red and white are what almost every TV uses for analog stereo output. It's pretty rare for a TV to have a 3.5mm stereo output jack. Just get a long enough 3.5mm male to male cable and you should be all set plugging your chair into your TV. Then
just set the Xbox One to stereo out for HDMI and you should be all set. Getting a HDMI audio adapter to pull the audio signal out to 3.5mm or an optical to 3.5mm converter would really be overkill just for a stereo sound gaming chair.

One other way is if you have a headset chat adapter you can plug one end of the 3.5mm male to male cable into the chat adapter and the other into your chair. This way the audio would come wirelessly to the controller and then into the chair. Might not be
as clear as a direct cable to your TV and will drain the battery on the controller a bit more since it's receiving audio.

I work for Staples/Office Depot and gaming chairs overall, are more for looks than comfort.

There are very comfortable chairs that pass off for gaming chairs. However, chairs are very personal as others mentioned.

Things to consiser are how do you sit in your chair? Where is the chair located? Size of chair needed. Arms or no arms?

Lots of things to consider.

I don't have a gaming chair but this chair I have does the job, just a plain office desk chair. Nice padding and very comfortable would recommend it if you don't want to spend high on a proper gaming chair.
