Gametag was changed for being against the rules.

So, a few months ago I paid($10) to change my gametag. Which was based off of the streamer Shroud’s alert notification[mod removed] And, now as of December 3rd, they’re telling me your gametag is again’st the rules. And, that sucks I was really happy about
having that gametag. But, that’s not my point, my point is why even take my ten dollars and allow me to have that gametag when it was a no-go from the begining. How is that fair to me? Now I have to pay another ten dollars to change the gametag they gave me.
When they should’ve told me “no” from the beginning. I love xbox, but y’all scamming on this one, had me freaking out wondering who changed my gametag. Just to find out it was the same people who let me have it in the first place. Thoughts anyone?

I think the system auto-checks for predetermined "offensive" content or words within a new Gamertag request. In this case, it probably didn't recognize that combination of words and letters, so it passed. However, if you do get it assigned, what may then
happen is that someone on Xbox Live recognizes what it is implying and then reported it for being offensive, which will cause a person in the Enforcement Team to actually look at it. This is why sometimes a Gamertag request bypasses the automatic scanning
process when requested, yet will be found to be in violation later when it is reported and looked at by a human. Sorry... Next time, pick something that does not contain anything that can be considered offensive and get reported.

So this one is definitely a tough one for sure. I definitely understand your frustration. That gamer tag definitely is against the standard and due to the complexity was most likely missed by the computer systems because of it. You were most likely
reported. My best advice is that call support and let them know your case and how it transpired. They may be able to assist you in getting a personalized tag again. Just make sure to read the agreement and follow it so this doesn’t transpire again.

When i was forced a gamertag change it then let me change it again for free to something that i chose to, are you sure it wont let you make a free gamertag change now its been a forced change?

They stopped giving out free name changes when someone received a forced name change years ago due to people abusing that system.

The rules are now that if you receive a forced gamertag change you are given a randomly generated tag for free & if you want to change that then you have to pay.
