Gametag transfer to a different microsoft account

Microsoft does not give you the ability to transfer your gametag from one Microsoft account to another. This may be useful for example when

your child grows up and they want to use their own account

you cannot simply hand off your personal outlook account (passwords, emails, etc.)

you want to use the family features (eg. there is no other way to limit play time currently)

you no longer want to use your primary account and do not want to lose all game progress

There are plenty of threads on internet from (paying) customers asking for this. I want to ask the community, what do you think are the reasons for Microsoft not offering this simple feature or a workaround, not even through customer service? Is there a
way for users to abuse this feature in any way? Does this feature lead to less revenue for Microsoft? Or is it simply, prioritize just features to attract new customers? I am really puzzled, please help me understand.

We understand the frustration this may cause but rest assured we are here to help. We suggest (if it hasn't already been done) to look into what is known as a

Microsoft Account Alias as this can change the way you sign in and show up to recipients by adding aliases to the existing Microsoft account. An alias is like a nickname for the account that can be an email address, phone number, or Skype name. It uses
the same inbox, contact list, and account settings as the primary alias. Go ahead and check it out and let us know how it goes!

Once you transfer the license your your gametag and rights will all be on that new console. It will then be registered with Microsoft.

I have the same problem. Says the same thing to me. I want to transfer my gametag that I use to account that is linked to my windows phone. The problem is that I accidentally made an unwanted gametag to that account. So I made new account to move the unwanted
gametag to so I can change the good gametag to my WP account.

but when I try to change the GT it says the same error message as it says to outrunhook. What shall I do?

It's possible to remove this gametag from my Microsoft's account, so I can move, via console, another gametag to this Microsoft's account?
