    Gamestreaming lagging since Windows Cumulative update KB3097617 (10/13/15)


    Is anyone else seeing this? Ever since the Windows Cumulative update KB3097617 released on 10/13 streaming Xbox one games to my Windows 10 Pro PC is now laggy as hell.

    I have two separate PC's in the house. Both have the exact same lag issue. And neither PC, nor my Xbox One have3 any bandwidth, or latency issues connecting to the internet. Also the Xbox Windows app passes the stream test all the way to very high encoding.

    I've tried the Windows Xbox app, the beta, uninstalled and reinstalled the Xbox app through PowerShell. Aside from doing a clean install of Windows I can't think of anything else to try.

    Hey there RangerHawk!

    Sorry to hear about the game streaming issues. We have a
    troubleshooter for streaming issues like this    , make sure you run through all the steps including changing the way your PC and Xbox One are connected to your network. If either is connected wireless, be sure to try a direct wired connection.

    Ok I figured it out. It was not the Windows update in itself that caused the problem. However, somehow during the update my video driver got corrupted.

    I have a Geforce GTX 690.

    To fix the problem I re-ran the newest driver setup. Currently that is 358.50.

    Just in case anyone else has this problem, make sure you run the driver update in advanced mode, and checkmark "DO A CLEAN INSTALL"
