GameStop's Titanfall Pre-Order Bonus Is A Slap In The Face To Gamers!

Pre ordering is a system in place to give gamers a Lay-Away type payment process so 60$ doesn't have to leave your pocket at once. So to get anything for free is a huge plus.

If it's Gamestop's pre-order bonuses, you probably want to check with them. Maybe call the store you got it from.

Does anyone know of any other pre-order bonuses besides Gamestop's and Best Buy's? Gamestop gets a bonus mission and weapon. Best buy gets the crusader (black knight) character for multiplayer. I'm trying to figure out if I'm going to pre-order and if so
where.

Your digital copies have NO monetary value.

The C.D.s replaced the cassette tapes, which replaced records; MP3s replaced most of my C.D.s, though I will still burn a C.D. to play in the girlfriends S.U.V..

Clutter? I only keep what I use/need/collect and give away/sell what I don't; that is not a option with digital. Now you might be able to "take every bit of entertainment media I ever owned and put it on something the size of a book of matches now" now...but
if they take away your "Usage Rights"...

Doesn't seem to take much to "slap" gamers these days...

 

Titanfall is trying to stay away from any kind of extra DLC that wont be available to everybody who buys the game....trying to keep everything on a equal playing field which i think is why you will not find any kind of special bonus or DLC with pre orders
for it....Even the collectors edition does not include any kind of DLC perk.

 

But it still includes Dlc which means unless you want to pay not everyone "WILL" get to play

 

@Keebler..... agreed. Gamers need to grow a set and get a some thicker skin..... and maybe some tissues for there issues...

Why are any retailers required to give away "free stuff" anyways? Just wait, 3 months from now when TF can be bought for $50 instead of $60..... the "day one'ers" will be wanting compensation! I predict another "slap in the face" thread!

 

At least I don't feel like I'm losing out on anything when I buy Titanfall digitally on Xbox Live.

 

Why doesn't everyone just stand in one long line to make it easy for Microsoft to slap you all in the face.

@King, actually promo style events such as midnight releases kind of over the years made themselves vulnerable to be expected of this. Promo events should always mean constructive give aways of posters and shirts, and maybe 1-2 bigger prizes via raffle.

A bit of different situation here but if you ever visited a race track you will think hey i never left their empty handed. " beer cozy's, Lanyards, keychains, posters. All normal handouts from promoters on grounds.

I recently went to the first ever in american IFA championship. "Touring Cars" @ Sonoma raceway. I could hardly carry all the free things i got handed while walking around.

I went to Skater of The Year in San Francisco in 2009 and walked with 2 free T-Shirts and some posters. Although being there was special enough since i was lucky enough to get a special invite from Deluxe skateboards.

So yea it is kind of expected to get some kind of nostalgia for attendance and these company's have no one to blame but them selves'.

And thats from a person who hates hearing people ask for free things. Specially when the asking is for games or subscriptions.
