Gamestop pre-order sparrow issue

So to start off, I "preorderd" the digital Xbox 360 version (even though it was just a 60$ store code) in order for me to take take advantage of the free Xbox one digital Destiny game. Awesome idea by the way.

Any ways, i input the code for the Sparrow at the Xbox.com code redemption (didn't say which console it was redeemed for). I mostly play on my Xbox One. So after i am unable to receive it on my Xbone account, I hop on my 360, and ta-da! It downloads and
its in my characters items. COOL!

So expecting a sweet new sparrow, with the same character between console feature, i see it in my Xbones character inventory.

Unfortunately, it does not allow me to equip it. Is this by design? Is there a way to unlock it for my Xbox One?

Any help will be appreciated.

If you want to predownload then you'll need to pre-order the digital version. If you want the red sparrow then you'll need to pre-order from Gamestop.

 

Yea I don't know man, I don't think that DLC was transferable. Its not really worth it anyway. You use it very little and you get the upgraded sparrow on the first mission on Mars.
